At Thornton Grove Academy, we are committed to providing a safe, stimulating and intellectually challenging learning environment in which every pupil is supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Our academy is proud of recognising excellence and promoting high aspirations. Weekly Celebration Assemblies serve as an opportunity to formally acknowledge and reward pupils’ achievements, both within the classroom and beyond.

Citizenship is a fundamental aspect of school life. Our Pupil Parliament plays a vital role in representing the views of the student body. It meets regularly with the Headteacher, senior leadership, and members of the Governing Body to discuss pupil-led initiatives and contribute to school improvement. From Early Years through to Year 6, pupil voice is actively encouraged and valued.
